Reports and Research

The data presented in this section are gathered and maintained by the Oral Health Section and are intended to indicate the progress being made on oral health issues in Oregon. The data are also intended to illustrate the oral health challenges facing Oregon now, and in the future.

How to Use Data

The use of data is most effective when placed within an appropriate social and economic context. The information presented in the reports and research below is more valuable, therefore, when taken in context with other factors. Statewide data may not accurately reflect actual data for a specific region, and vice versa. The resources of the Oregon Oral Health Section are always available to individuals and organizations wishing to receive technical assistance on the gathering, analysis, interpretation, and integration of oral health data.
