Oregon SAFE KIDS Events

• National Child Passenger Safety Week: February 12 - 18, 2006
  

  Local Safe Kids chapters across the state will hold car seat inspections at Chevrolet dealerships in
  observance of Child Passenger Safety Week. Free inspections will be performed by certified Child
  Passenger Safety Technicians with an emphasis on training parents and caregivers to install and
  adjust their car seats correctly.
  

• National Safe Kids Week: April 30 - May 6, 2006
  Safe Kids Portland Metro Coalition will kick off National Safe Kids Week at the Oregon Zoo, May 6, 2006 from 10 am -2 pm. This event will feature exhibits, prizes, safety tips and hands-on activities for children and parents. National Safe Kids Week is an annual event that highlights prevention of childhood injuries. Several Safe Kids chapters in Oregon have planned safety events in their communities throughout the spring and summer.
