Public Health Week 2010
Hundreds of people participated in Oregon's Public Health Week, held April 5 - 9, 2010. Many people took part in the week in some way whether it was in attending the speakers' series, various physical events, youth events, video screenings, food activities, and career fair to name a few. Counties and others at a distance were able to link to some of the speakers' series presentations via Video Conference.
The PowerPoint presentations and related resources from the speakers' series are being posted to the Oregon Public Health Week web site as we receive them. You can find these resources located below. You can also find the results to the Youth Photo Contest on this page.
If you are interested in viewing one of the videotaped presentations from the week, we will have information on the website soon regarding how you can access viewing those, as they become available.
If you participated in any Public Health Week activities, please take a few minutes to complete an electronic survey to share your input. Please provide your feedback prior to May 1 if possible.
The goal of the week was to raise awareness about public health, highlight innovative thinking regarding public health issues, showcase real-life examples of public health, share stories from people helped or impacted, and feature successful activities and programs.
