Request for Continuation Grant Proposals: Tribal Tobacco Prevention Program

The Oregon Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) at the Oregon Public Health Division requests proposals from federally-recognized tribes in Oregon for continuation grants for tribal tobacco prevention and education programs (Tribal Programs). Tribal Programs are to be grounded in best practices for tobacco prevention that seek sustainable environmental change through social norm change and policy development, and that are prioritized based on needs identified by the tribe.

This meeting is mandatory for all TPEP coordinators and program staff at County Health Departments, Tribes, and Specific Population Networks. TPEP School Coordinators are also invited to attend. We will review tobacco prevention and education best practices, cover the steps involved in policy development and adoption, and consider the policy development process in a variety of settings such as hospitals, schools, community colleges, and multi-unit housing. This is also an excellent time to strengthen your connections with other Coordinators and programs in your region.
