Background checks

The local Lifespan Respite coordinator will conduct background criminal record checks on all providers on their list.

• Ask about criminal records checks on all applicants.
• Confirm whether the check was for Oregon only, or if it was a federal check.
• A criminal background check is a screening tool, not a guarantee that an individual is safe or reliable.
