Inmate Walkway from Shutter Creek Correctional Institution Work Crew
A minimum-custody inmate today walked away from an inmate work crew in Coquille. The crew from Shutter Creek Correctional Institution was working at the Coquille Masonic Cemetery when inmate Gary Lee Luttman, 29, was noted missing at 1:35 pm.
Luttman is a white male, 5'11" tall, and weighs 180 lbs. He has short, curly brown hair, brown eyes, and a one-to-two inch beard with sideburns. He was wearing a yellow raincoat and pants over a tan-colored jacket; tan-colored, button-up, long sleeve shirt over a blue t-shirt; blue denim pants, a green ball cap, and black work boots. Clothing items had "INMATE" prominently stenciled on them.
Luttman was incarcerated in December 2009. He was serving time for a Delivery of MDMA (Ecstasy) conviction from Josephine County. His projected release date had been April 2011.
As with all fugitives, he should be considered dangerous and not be approached. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888, the non-emergency number of their local police department, or the Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit at 503-945-9008.
