Welcome to the Oregon Department of Corrections (ODOC) Job Opportunities If you have never applied for a position with the ODOC, we have included detailed instructions on how to search for jobs, apply and check your application status online.
Getting Started To begin, see the link below to set up an account in NEOGOV. When choosing your username and password, be sure to choose something you will remember. You must include a valid e-mail address on your account/application. The e-mail address listed will only be good for one account. If you have only one e-mail address for more than one person in your household, you must establish individual e-mail addresses so everyone has a separate account. It is recommended you use your own home/personal e-mail account. Check your e-mail often. All correspondence regarding your application will be done by e-mail. Once you have established your account, you may begin creating your application.

| Creating Your Application |
Before you apply for any jobs, you must create an application. Click the "Create Application" button. Fill out the application form as completely as possible. The more detailed information you include in your work experience, the better your chances are in your application being accepted. Failure to complete the work experience section will result in your application being rejected. Once you have completed your application, you are ready to start your job search. You do not need to recreate your application every time you apply for a job. The initial application you create will be used for all jobs unless you create more than one to be used for different careers (for example: clerical, security, etc.)

Applying For Jobs
To apply, click the apply link on the job announcement of interest. If you are not already logged in, the system will take you to the login page. Once you have logged in, you can apply. Be sure to complete each step. Failure to answer all of the supplemental questions or attach any required documents will result in your application being rejected. For instructions on how to attach documents to your application, see the link below.

If you do not find they type of job you are looking for, you can fill out an online job interest card to be notified by e-mail when a recruitment in your area opens for application. If you wish to be notified when a recruitment opens of a specific job classification, click the link below for the job classification definitions. There you may locate a specific classification (for example: Correctional Officer, Office Specialist 2, Institution Registered Nurse, etc.) and request to be notified by e-mail, which will send you to complete the form for a job interest card. Job interest card e-mails are generated for all recruitments open to the public for all agencies that offer those positions. They are not agency specific. These e-mails are for information only and will not affect your application or status for any other application. See the links below for job interest cards and job classification descriptions.

Checking Your Application Status Once you have successfully applied for a job, you may check your application status by logging into your account and clicking on "Application Status". Here you will see all of the recruitments you have applied for, where you are in the process and if your application has been accepted or rejected. If you would like or need to have a hard copy of the application you submitted, you can click on the "view" link and print the application.
