Warning Shot Fired at Penitentiary
 
At 2:38 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2005, two inmates on the recreation yard at Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem were observed fighting and refused oral orders to stop. One warning shot was fired by the officer in Tower 5, which overlooks the yard.  Both inmates stopped fighting and were escorted without further incident to the Disciplinary Segregation Unit.  No staff or inmates were injured in the incident. 
 
The inmates involved were:

Rape II –         60 months
Assault IV –    24 months
Contempt of Court – 24 months
Harassment –            24 months
Received from Malheur County on July 3, 2001 with a projected release date of August 22, 2005.
 
Robert Wayne Bradley, 44

Robbery I – 130 months
Assault II – 72 months
Delivery/Manufacture of a Controlled Substance - 24 months
Possession of a Controlled Substance - 12 months
(His prison time is completed on 12 other convictions from Marion, Polk and Baker counties in this custody cycle.)
Most recent admission:  August 11, 1998 from Marion County and has a projected release date of April 26, 2015.
