Corrections and Salem Police team up to clean up Graffiti
In an effort to keep the community ahead of Graffiti issues in the Salem area, the Salem Police Department and The Oregon Department of Corrections have teamed together for a graffiti paint-over project.

Graffiti in the Salem area has become very destructive, is costly due to the damage it causes and the image it leaves in the community is less than desirable.

The Salem Police Department has an excellent program that helps remove graffiti as quickly as possible.  This program, has partnered with ODOC's Inmate Work Programs, which includes the use of a work crew comprised of 5-10 minimum custody inmates supervised by a DOC Officer.

The paint for this project is donated by the Marion County Solid Waste Gaffon Road Transfer Station and supplies have been graciously donated by Miller Paint on Lancaster Drive in Salem. To report graffiti call 503-371-GANG (4264).
