Inmate Back in DOC Custody
An inmate who walked away Saturday morning from a minimum-custody work crew on the grounds outside of Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem was apprehended Saturday evening around 8:30 pm. The inmate, Dominic Smith, 28, was discovered missing from his work crew at approximately 9:15 a.m.
Smith was admitted to prison on September 25, 2007 and was due to be released in October 2008. He is serving a sentence for Robbery III from Marion County.
