Inmate Escapes From Transport Van
A Department of Corrections' (DOC) inmate escaped from a transport van at Marine Drive and I-5 at 6:45 a.m. this morning. The inmate was being transported from South Fork Forest Camp to Columbia River Correctional Institution.
Jeffrey Christopher Lane, 29, a minimum-custody inmate serving a 30-month sentence for multiple counts of Burglary, jumped out of a transport van. Inmate Lane was admitted to DOC custody on March 16, 2007 and was due to be release in October 2009.
Inmate Lane was last seen wearing brown flip-flops, a green jumpsuit and possibly green fire fighting pants.
