Inmates missing from minimum-security prison in Lakeview
Two minimum-custody inmates escaped Saturday, Sept. 6 from Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview. They were discovered missing about 9:30 p.m.
Joseph Swift, 25, dob 11/19/1982, was serving 127 months for robbery from Multnomah County. Swift is a white male, 5'10" tall, weighing 182 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a gargoyle on his left shoulder and a samurai in a helmet on his left arm. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with the word "inmate" stenciled on the knee in orange and a blue T-shirt similarly stenciled.

Christopher Sherrod, 31, dob 8/19/1977, was serving 70 months for kidnapping from Linn County. Sherrod is a white male, 6' tall, weighing 170 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He has no tattoos. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with the word "inmate" stenciled on the knee in orange and a blue T-shirt similarly stenciled. |

As a minimum security prison, Warner Creek Correctional Facility houses minimum-custody inmates with less than four years remaining on their sentences. It has a single perimeter fence topped with concertina wire. The method of escape is under investigation.
The Oregon Department of Corrections Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Oregon State Police are investigating. The current population is 336 at Warner Creek, and 13,973 statewide.
