Customized Instructions for Estimated Corporation Tax Payments
 
(Tax Payment Type Code 20001 and 20201)
 
The Oregon Department of Revenue uses the Tax Payment (TXP) Banking convention on its ACH credit addenda record to post combined payroll and estimated corporation tax payments. The following table and field explanations describe how Oregon uses the TXP banking convention to post estimated corporation tax payments using the Tax Payment Type Codes of 20001 and 20201. A Tax Payment Type Code of 20001 is used to pay Estimated Corporation Excise Tax while a Tax Payment Type Code of 20201 is used to pay Estimated Corporation Income Tax.

Min/Max Use: This specifies the minimum and maximum length of a particular element. For example, 1/10 indicates that this data element must be at least one character, but not more than ten characters.
 
Customized Instructions
 
TXP01 - Taxpayer Identification Number: Enter your Oregon Business Identification Number (BIN). Do not enter the dash. For example enter BIN 1234567-8 as 12345678.
 
TXP02 - Tax Payment Type Code: Enter either 20001 for State Estimated Corporation Excise Tax or 20201 for State Estimated Corporation Income Tax. (See examples.)
 
TXP03 - Tax Period End Date: Enter your calendar or fiscal year end date in YYMMDD format. Do not enter the payment due date. Examples: For the calendar year 2003, enter 031231 and for a fiscal year ending on June 30, 2003 enter 030630. (See examples.)
 
TXP04 - Amount Type: Enter the quarter 1, 2, 3, 4. (See examples.)
 
TXP05 - Tax Amount: Enter the amount for either State Estimated Corporation Excise or State Estimated Corporation Income Taxes followed by the terminator \ (backslash). The two right most digits of this element indicate cents by using an implied decimal point. The decimal point is not transmitted. For example the amount $2,400.00 would appear as 240000. This number will always be positive. (See examples.)
 
TXP06 - Amount Type: This element is not used for Tax Payment Type Codes 20001 or 20201.
 
TXP07 - Tax Amount: This element is not used for Tax Payment Type Codes 20001 or 20201.
 
TXP08 - Amount Type: This element is not used for Tax Payment Type Codes 20001 or 20201.
 
TXP09 - Tax Amount: This element is not used for Tax Payment Type Codes 20001 or 20201.
 
TXP10 - Taxpayer Verification: Oregon does not use this element.
