Oregon Licensee Tax Compliance
We’re currently participating in two projects with other state agencies and boards that affect some of Oregon’s professional license holders:

Licensee Tax Compliance Pilot Project
House Bill 3082, enacted by the 2009 Legislature, authorizes us to conduct a tax compliance pilot program with three state licensing boards.

Under HB 3082, compliance with individual income tax laws is a condition of license renewal.

Any state agency, board, or commission that participates in the pilot project may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a license if we determine that the licensee isn’t in tax compliance. If you’re not in compliance, it means you owe state taxes or must file past tax return(s).

We’ll present a final report to the Legislature in January 2011.

Licensee Tax Compliance Information Project
We’re working with three other boards to let their licensees know about their tax compliance responsibilities. For licensees of these boards, tax compliance status is not a condition of license renewal at this time.
