We’re currently participating in two projects with other state agencies and boards that affect some of Oregon’s professional license holders:
|
| Licensee Tax Compliance Pilot Project |
|
House Bill 3082, enacted by the 2009 Legislature, authorizes us to conduct a tax compliance pilot program with three state licensing boards. Under HB 3082, compliance with individual income tax laws is a condition of license renewal.
Any state agency, board, or commission that participates in the pilot project may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a license if we determine that the licensee isn’t in tax compliance. If you’re not in compliance, it means you owe state taxes or must file past tax return(s). We’ll present a final report to the Legislature in January 2011. House Bill 3082 (2009) Licensee Tax Compliance Pilot Project Participating boards are:

We’re working with three other boards to let their licensees know about their tax compliance responsibilities. For licensees of these boards, tax compliance status is not a condition of license renewal at this time.
