Fire Certification Section aligns Oregon standards to NFPA
DPSST Administration Building
DPSST's Fire Certification Section is responsible for maintaining state fire certification standards set by the Fire Policy Committee and Board on Public Safety Standards and Training, in alignment with National Fire Protection Association standards. This section of DPSST provides formal recognition to members of the Oregon fire service who voluntarily demonstrate required levels of competency. The Fire Certification Section also works, through a network of district liaison officers, to ensure Oregon's local fire department and district training programs meet accreditation requirements.

It's time to remember Oregon's past, celebrate the present, and inspire people to dream about the future. That's the mission of the Oregon 150 project, and they are inviting all of Oregon - young and old, urban and rural, lifetime residents and recent arrivals - to join in accomplishing their goal.
