PRIVATE SECURITY NEWS - Oregon Revised Statute change effective June 2011
Two Senate Bills were recently signed into law by Governor John Kitzhaber effective immediately. These changes directly relate to certain private security professionals and private security services.

Senate Bill 878 -- Relates to the exemption section of ORS 181.871, sections affected include individuals who monitor alarm systems and individuals who provide crowd management services.

Senate Bill 635 -- Relates to the exemption section of ORS 181.871, sections affected include certain volunteers providing security services, and individuals enrolled in a Community College providing non-confrontational security services.
