What do I need to do to renew my certification/licensure?
Fees, paperwork, and training vary base on what certification or license you are renewing or upgrading. Factors such as if you are renewing after expiration or how many certifications or licenses you hold can affect the answer. The information below is based on someone who is sending in renewal information for one certification or license, at least one month before expiration.

Proof of at least eight hours of course-work relating to any of the specific subjects being taught or generally improving instructor skills

What if I expire sooner, or are already expired?
If you are close to expiration, please have your manager fill out a PS-20 temporary work permit. If you have already expired, or will expire prior to your paperwork arriving in our office, please enclose a $25 late fee. A late fee is assessed the day after expiration and is based on when paperwork arrives in our office. There may also be additional requirements if you were working armed.

What do I need to do to add a certification/license or upgrade from unarmed to armed?
Whenever you add or upgrade a certification, certain portions of the basic application will need to be filled out over. Those portions are:
