Hydrogeomorphic (HGM) Assessment Guidebook for Tidal Wetlands of the Oregon Coast

The Hydrogeomorphic (HGM) Assessment Guidebook for Tidal Wetlands of the Oregon Coast is now available. The Guidebook provides a rapid assessment method for assessing the functions and values of tidal wetlands. The Guidebook consists of a three-part set of documents and an Excel spreadsheet for calculating function scores. A DVD containing all documents, field data, and GIS-based maps of Oregon's coastal wetlands is also available upon request.

The tidal HGM assessment Guidebook is recommended for assessing wetland functions for state Removal-Fill permits and is also suitable other purposes, such as voluntary wetland restoration planning and monitoring. Many agencies and individuals contributed to this multi-year effort; we greatly appreciate their support and expertise. Questions may be directed to Janet Morlan, Wetlands Program Manager, at 503-986-5236 or Janet.Morlan@state.or.us
