Center for Digital Government Gives Award to iMatchSkills
This is the 2nd national award for iMatchSkills
iMatchSkills

Las Vegas - Each year the Center for Digital Government bestows awards on the best electronic services and publications that serve other governmental entities and the public. This year the Center awarded iMatchSkills for the best Government to Business application.

Cathilea Robinett, Executive Director, Center for Digital Government and Education, Kathryn Naugle and Velva Warden from the WorkSource Oregon Employment Department, hold the award, presented in Las Vegas at the annual Center for Digital Government convention.

iMatchSkills changes the way job seekers and employers connect. Instead of matching simply on occupation titles, iMatchSkills allows the match to take place based on the skills possessed by the job seeker. This way employers get more qualified applicants and job seekers find job openings they might not have applied for, but for which they are qualified based on their skills.

Earlier this year, iMatchSkills was recognized by the American Council of Technology with it's award for technology innovation.

Debbie Lincoln, Director of the WorkSource Oregon Employment Department reacted to the award by saying "this award would not have been possible without the dedicated support of the staff who worked long and hard to create the nation's best job matching application. We would also like to thank our many workforce and business partners for helping us refine the application to make it as useful as possible."
