Economists project Oregon will add 258,000 jobs between 2012 and 2022. This according to a new study released today by the Oregon Employment Department. In addition, another 392,000 job openings will occur as workers retire or move on.
The Oregon Legislature passed SB 259 which will allow the Oregon Employment Department to intercept Federal tax refunds of individuals who fraudulently claimed unemployment benefits.
A recent report released by the Oregon Employment Department showed job vacancies in the state continue to grow. The report showed that Transportation and material moving, office and administrative support, and health care support occupations had the most vacancies in fall 2013.
