Trade Adjustment Assistance Available for Tube Specialties Co. Workers in Troutdale, Oregon

Salem – The US Department of Labor has certified laid-off workers of Tube Specialties, Co., Troutdale, Oregon, may apply for assistance and benefits under the Trade Act of 1974. 
 
This certification covers the period from April 18, 2006 to May 22, 2009.  Workers laid off or reduced to part-time work during this time may be eligible for extra benefits and services.
 
After they are certified individually as eligible, workers may apply for benefits through Worksource Oregon Employment Department.  They may receive a broad range of reemployment and retraining services including career counseling, job placement assistance, job search and relocation allowances and income support during long-term training.
 
To apply for individual eligibility, workers who have been laid off during the certification period can contact the Worksource Oregon Employment Department Training Programs Unit at 1-800-436-6191 or e-mail at emp.tra@state.or.us for assistance.
