Updated Information for the
Rollout of the Oregon Payroll Reporting System
Pilot testing for the new Oregon Payroll Reporting
System was completed successfully. We
have determined that additional testing and “fine tuning” is required before we
launch the new system.
We are looking forward to launching the new
reporting system and providing a more streamlined, user friendly way to report
payroll for employers and agents.

**Please be prepared that once the new system is implemented e-mail confirmations will no longer be sent as confirmation of filing is immediate.

OTTER or SETRON.
However, please note, if you use an outside service to file using OTTER or SETRON, a new Power of Attorney form must be filed. The form can be found at:
http://www.oregon.gov/DOR/forms/personal/800-005.pdf and returned to the Employment Department as soon as possible, to allow for processing.

Changes are coming to Oregon’s two automated tax reporting systems. Oregon Tax Employer Reporting (OTTER) will be moved to a web-based application, and Secure Employer Tax Reporting (SETRON) will be replaced. The new system will be called Oregon Payroll Reporting System.
In preparation of rolling out our new enhanced system we ask employers to do the following actions:
1) Starting with 3rd quarter of 2011, please verify that the contact information, including mailing addresses and phone numbers, for every employer and/or preparer is correct on the report. The Oregon Employment Department will use this address to effectively communicate to employers prior to launching the new system.
2) If you use an outside service to file using OTTER or SETRON, a new Power of Attorney form must be filed. The form can be found at
