Oregon Employment Department will close November 27
Closed sign Offices to be closed - reduced services in some locations
Due to state budget cuts, the Oregon Employment Department will be closed on Friday, November 27. Most WorkSource Oregon Centers will be closed to the public, however some will be open with limited services that day.

Lose your job after August 31, 2008? The federal government economic stimulus package may pay 65 percent of monthly health insurance premiums for nine months if you lose your job and choose to continue your employer health plan through COBRA or state continuation.
Unemployed and owe child support?
Are you a parent who has experienced an employment-related change in income? You may qualify for a temporary modification to your child support. For more information call 503-378-5567 within Salem, or 1-800-850-0228 outside of Salem to be connected with the Recession Response Team member.

State Offices Closed November 26 and 27
Employment Department offices are closed on November 26, 2009 due to the Thanksgiving holiday, and November 27 as part of a mandatory state furlough day.

Benefit Extensions Currently Available
During these hard economic times, there are three unemployment insurance benefit extension programs to assist Oregonians out of work through no fault of their own. Those programs are known as Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) tiers 1, 2, 3, and 4, Extended Benefits (EB), and Oregon Emergency Benefits (OEB).
