Filing From Outside Oregon
Filing Your Initial Application
 
You can establish an unemployment claim against Oregon from anywhere in the world.  If you are in the United States, you can file your initial application online through our Online Claims System, or by calling 1-877-877-9996.  
 
To file your initial application from outside the country, you must call (503) 451-2400 and select option 1. 
 
If you did not work in Oregon during the last 18 months, you will need to contact the nearest Employment Department (sometimes referred to as Employment Security) office in a state where you worked. 
 

Filing Your Weekly Claims From Out Of State
 
If you move out of state after filing your initial application, you need to immediately notify us of your new address and phone number.  You can change your address and phone number online, or by calling (877) 877-9996. 
 
Weekly claims can be filed online through our Online Claims System, or by calling our Weekly Claim Line at 1-800-982-8920. 
 
 

Filing Your Weekly Claims From Outside The United States
 
If you move out of the country after filing your initial application, you must immediately notify us of your new address and phone number.   An investigation will be made to determine if you are available for work and authorized to work in the other country.   Call us at (503) 451-2400.  (Our toll free numbers do not work outside the United States.)
 
From outside the country, Weekly claims can be filed online through our Online Claims System, or by calling our Weekly Claim Line at 503-224-0405.
