The Patriot Award goes to an individual who has helped veterans throughout the year.
This year's Patriot award has been awarded to Judith Hayes of Tuality Community Hospital for her outstanding help and support of the Washington County Veteran Job and Benefits Fair. The successful event was held May 1st at the Tuality Community Hospital.
After committing to hold the event, Veterans Representatives Kurt Carlsen and Quinones “Q” Estanislado were informed that
they would have less time to work on the project. Judith stepped in, secured the rooms needed for the event, made sure that the kitchen and refrigerator were available, and kept key staff informed of the planning process. She made sure that the facilities at Tuality Community Hospital were ready to host veterans, employers, and veteran's service organizations.
Employers and other participants remarked that the staff at Tuality Community Hospital, especially the janitorial staff, were very helpful, making the event one of the best organized they had attended.
It is awarded by the WorkSource Beaverton/Hillsboro and Tualatin Veterans Representatives.
