Agreement represents the largest salmon restoration effort in U.S. history
In 2004, Governor Kulongoski formed a federal-state-tribal-local partnership to resolve disputes over water quantity and quality, and fish and wildlife issues in the Klamath Basin. To a crowd of over 500 Oregonians, the governor announced the results of this years-long effort on February 18 -- an agreement and a plan of action that will bring salmon back to the Klamath Basin.
