Governor's commuter Challenge is inspiring behavior change!
bike commuter "My carpool saves me about $60/week," states one employee.
Several hundred state employees are changing their commuting behavior and reducing their carbon emissions in response to the Governor's summer-long Commuter Challenge. Saving money and getting more exercise are further benefits cited by employees.

"I was motivated to start riding my bike after gas hit $4/gallon at the end of June...I am convinced that riding the bike throughout the year is a realistic goal and the right thing to reduce my carbon footprint," says Doug K., of the Department of Education.

As of July 11, 364 Capitol Mall employees have publicly committed to "replacing" at least one drive-alone commuter per week; with a total emissions reduction total of 53%. Help your agency reach the Governor's goal to reduce carbon emissions by 500,000 pounds -- commit today!
