Public Notices for Coastal Program federal consistency reviews are governed by OAR Chapter 660, Division 35, Section 307(c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended, and Title 15, Part 930 of the Code of Federal Regulations

PAST PUBLIC NOTICES
Past public notices will generally remain posted for one year from the date of posting.  For copies of older public notices, please contact the Oregon Coastal Management Program. 

 

April 8, 2013 - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to construct a dynamic revetment adjacent to the South Jetty root at the Mouth of the Columbia River (MCR), in Clatsop County. Comment deadline: May 8, 2013.

May 17, 2012 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to designate and place dredged material from the Mouth of Columbia River federal navigation project (MCR project) at a new disposal site, the South Jetty Nearshore Site, which is located in Oregon’s Territorial Sea off Clatsop County. 

 

April 16, 2012 - The Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center (NNMREC) proposes to temporarily deploy a wave energy conversion device and associated instruments in Oregon's Territorial Sea, off the coast of Lincoln County.  Comment deadline: EXTENDED to May 30, 2012.

Public Notices for Coastal Program Updates

DLCD periodically submits routine program changes to the Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  These pogram changes update state and local authorities that have been previously incorporated as part of the Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP). 
 
Public Notices for changes to the OCMP are governed by Section 306(e) of the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, as amended, and Title 15, Part 923 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

May 7, 2013 - The DLCD has submitted a Routine Program Change (RPC) request to OCRM. The request seeks to incorporate updates to the Clatsop County Comprehensive Plan and zoning ordinance. Details of the submittal can be found in the Public Notice and in the documents posted below. Please comment directly to OCRM, as indicated in the notice.

Notification List

The Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP) provides notice to the public of projects under review for federal consistency, and of proposed updates to the OCMP.  Anyone wishing to receive notices in either or both circumstances may request inclusion on our mailing list.  The OCMP distributes notices by electronic mail (preferred) or regular mail.  Notices are also posted on this web page.
