Bend UGB Proposal

Introduction/Timeline

On October 7, 2016, the City of Bend and Deschutes County submitted an adopted amendment to the Bend urban growth boundary (UGB) to the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) for review. The submittal was determined to be complete.

The DLCD director must approve or remand the submittal, or refer it to the Land Conservation and Development Commission (LCDC) within 120 days of the submittal, or February 3, 2017. (See OAR 660-025-0150)

Objections

Those who participated in the local proceedings received notice of the adoption from the city and were allowed 21 days to submit an objection to DLCD. DLCD received four objections:

DLCD will review the objections and the director will decide whether to approve, remand, or refer the submittal by the 120-day deadline.

DLCD Director Decision

The director of the Department of Land Conservation and Development approved the Bend UGB submittal on November 14, 2016. The approval order is available here.
