License Verifications
License Verifications and Records Requests Policy
1. The OBCE does not charge a fee to Oregon licensees requesting an official  license verification, or letter of good standing to be sent to another state licensing agency (for example, applying for reciprocity in another state).
2. The OBCE does not charge a fee to credentialing agencies or insurance companies who contact the OBCE administrative office by email or telephone.  However, the OBCE does restrict these inquiries to three names per daily contact. (This restriction is necessary given the large volume of requests received daily.) 
3. For requests for OBCE WRITTEN verifications by credentialing agencies or insurance companies (MCOs, HMOS, etc.), the OBCE does charge a minimum of $15 per request. The written verification will include the license #, the date issued, the expiration date, and whether there has been any disciplinary action (yes/no). The fees are set per number of license verifications requested, as follows:
Up to 25 names per request - $15;
Up to 50 names per request - $30;
Up to 100 per request - $60; and so forth
Optionally, a full list of active licensees is available for $25; However the list includes only license number, name, address and telephone number.
4. Other records requests.  The OBCE will charge the minimum of $15 for labor and copying costs.
5. The OBCE will not charge a fee to other Oregon State regulatory agencies for license verifications or record requests.
