About OMWESB
The Office of Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business administers the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) and Emerging Small Business (ESB) programs. As the sole certification authority in Oregon for targeted government contracts for disadvantaged, minority and woman-owned businesses, and emerging small businesses, OMWESB provides "one-stop" certification.

How do I apply for a loan or grant?
The Office of Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business (OMWESB) does not provide any financial assistance.

How long does it take to get certified?
Normally DBE, MBE or WBE certification takes 60-90 days after we receive all the required documentation. ESB applications can usually be processed in about 30 days.

I'm just starting a business. Where should I begin?
Contact the Business Information Center, (503) 986-2200, and request a copy of the Oregon Business Guide. It offers valuable information and resources.

I need to register my business. How do I do that?
Contact the Corporation Division of the Secretary of State's office, (503) 986-2200.
