The OCAA is comprised of eleven members. Nine are appointed by the Governor, one by the Senate President and one by the Speaker of the House. We strive for ethnic diversity as well as geographic diversity in our commission appointments.
Join our efforts. The Commission strives to recruit commissioners that represent diverse ethnic, geographic and professional backgrounds. The Commission currently has representatives from the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, Thai, Filipino and Afghani communities. Commissioners bring different immigrant and refugee backgrounds a well as represent professional backgrounds from both public and private sectors, and from the legal, medical, educational, nonprofit, and government fields. Individual commissioners also have ties to a variety of community-based organizations.
