Health \ Mental Health - Children's Health Care
GENERAL COMMENTS:
The health of children is achieved through the coordinated and integrated approach to direct health care services, community services, child care and educational services, parenting skills, and environment. Early screening and intervention of health problems increases the likelihood that children will be ready to learn upon entering school. Private and public health providers and caregivers, including parents, day care workers, and teachers, should have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of their roles in assuring the health of children in their communities.
