| Basic requirements |
Basic requirements are the same for all swine (all porcine species, including "project" pigs, pet pigs, hunting boars, pot-bellied pigs, etc.)
-
The Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (abbreviated CVI, sometimes incorrectly called a ´health certificate´) must be issued less than 15 days prior to entry into Oregon and must state the swine have not been fed raw garbage and have not been vaccinated against pseudorabies .
-
Requirements for pseudorabies and brucellosis tests are based on official status of state or herd of origin. Call 503-986-4679 for details. We follow the Uniform Methods & Rules for eradication of these diseases.
-
Import permit from ODA - Veterinarian calls 503-986-4679 for the permit.

| Breeder swine |
In addition to the above, all breeder swine must also have been vaccinated against erysipelas and leptospirosis according to vaccine manufacturer's directions.
| Feeder swine |
Oregon has no recognized feeding facilities. Therefore, if feeder swine originate from a state with an official Pseudorabies status of less than Class IV, they must be treated as breeder swine for testing purposes.

| Feral swine |
Feral swine may not be imported.
