Entry requirements for camelids
Basic requirements
Bringing camelids into Oregon
(Llamas, alpacas, vicuna, guanaco, and camels)
Basic requirements are:
1. a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (abbreviated CVI, sometimes incorrectly called a 'health certificate') issued less than 30 days prior to entry;
2. an import permit issued by this office;
 (For a permit, the veterinarian or clinic staff calls 503-986-4679.)
3. testing as indicated below:

Test requirements
New World camelids
Llama, alpaca, vicuna, and guanaco
No testing required.
Old World camelids
Camels, bactrian or dromedary
Brucellosis test: less than 30 days prior to entry.
Tuberculosis test: less than 60 days
