June 14, 2013 See’s Company of San Francisco is recalling all Milk and Dark Raisins because it may contain undeclared tree nuts and eggs. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to tree nuts (e.g.: almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews) and/or eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. June 3, 2013The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and State and local officials are investigating a multi-state outbreak of Hepatitis A illnesses potentially associated with Townsend Farms Organic Anti-Oxidant Blend, a frozen blend containing pomegranate seed mix. As of May 31, 2013, 30 people infected with Hepatitis A have been reported from 5 states: Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona, and California.

May 29, 2013 Lightlife Foods in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is voluntarily recalling a limited number of packages of its Lightlife Farmer’s Market Veggie Burgers that may contain an undeclared allergen, milk. Certain packages of the Farmer’s Market Veggie Burgers may have inadvertently been filled with Lightlife Kick’n Black Bean Burgers, which contain an allergen, milk. The milk allergen is not declared on the Farmer’s Market Veggie Burger product label. This product was shipped to food stores and distributors nationwide. Read more

May 25, 2013 Salmolux of Federal Way, WA is recalling its cold smoked salmon products because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Products, a total of approximately 4,930 lb, were distributed in AR, AZ, CA, ID, MI, NV, NY, OH, OR, WA states through retail stores. Read more

May 21, 2013 Foster Farms, a Porterville, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 6,165 pounds of ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast strips that contain wheat and soy, known allergens, which are not declared on the product label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product was produced on April 23, 2013, and was distributed to retail establishments in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Read more

April 26, 2013 ConAgra Foods, Inc., (NYSE: CAG) in cooperation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is voluntarily recalling packages of its Orville Redenbacher’s Classic Kettle Korn flavor ready-to-eat popcorn that may contain an undeclared allergen, milk. Certain bags of the Kettle Korn flavored ready-to-eat popcorn may have inadvertently been filled with white cheddar flavored popcorn, which contains an allergen, milk.
