What is proposed?
Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is proposing to issue a new registration
to the Confined Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) National Pollutant Discharge
Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit #01-2009 for a Small Confined dairy
CAFO, Cada Dia Cheese, operated by Patrick Sullivan located at 9609 NW Sharp
Rd, Prineville, Oregon. Ph. 541-362-3036.
The CAFO NPDES General Permit #01-2009 regulates the manure, litter, and process waste water generated by CAFOs to ensure that CAFO activities do not harm water quality. Opportunity for public hearing
ODA will schedule and conduct a hearing on written request from at least ten (10) people, or from an organization or organizations representing at least to (10) people. ODA will provide at least 30 days advance notice of the hearing, if one is requested. If a hearing is held, the records will remain open for additional written comments for at least seven (7) days after the hearing.
