  • Changes to Pesticide Trainee License Effective January 1, 2013
    Computer Upcoming changes to the Directly Supervised Pesticide Trainee and the Immediately Supervised Pesticide Trainee licenses will take place January 1, 2013.  However, since these changes may affect you or someone you may have employed under your supervision, it is best to inform you of the changes before they happen.  See the pdf below for more information.

  • Soil Fumigation Exam Now Available Through On-line Testing
    Computer

    The new Soil Fumigation II exam is now available through Metro Institute's computer based testing services.  The new EPA approved soil fumigation exam is one of the options that licensed pesticide applicators have to maintain the soil fumigation category on a license.

  • New Buffer Zone Calculator to Assist Soil Fumigant Applicators


    The EPA has developed a new electronic Buffer Zone Calculator to assist soil fumigant applicators to determine the buffer zone distances which are now required by soil fumigant product labels.  The new Buffer Zone Calculator is specific to each soil fumigant product. The new calculator can also be used to calculate buffer zone reductions through credits and modifications to application variables.  Applicators will need to confirm that the buffer zone calculator results are consistent with buffer zone requirements listed on product labels.

  • New Zinc Phosphide Label Available May 3, 2013


    Above ground applications of zinc phosphide in grass grown for seed will be allowed from May 3 - August 31, 2013.
