Governor Kitzhaber has announced the appointments of Pete Brentano of St. Paul and Sharon Livingston of Long Creek to the
State Board of Agriculture.
Brentano is co-owner of Brentano’s Tree Farm in St. Paul and is past president of the Oregon Association of Nurseries. Livingston, an Eastern Oregon rancher, is past president of the Oregon Cattlemen’s Association. Both have been active participants in other agricultural organizations.
The State Board of Agriculture advises the Oregon Department of Agriculture on policy issues and development of rules. Board members serve four-year terms with a maximum of two terms. The 10-member board meets four times a year in various locations around the state.
