Thirteen Chief Veterinary Officers (CVOs) and National Epidemiologists representing East African nations visited the Pacific Northwest and Texas to learn about US methods of livestock identification and animal disease control. The veterinary tour was sponsored by a partnership of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture at Texas A&M University, and the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
