Regulatory Issues

Experimental use permits (EUPs) are often needed for pesticide research experiments. An EUP is required if a pesticide product is not registered with the EPA or if the research involves the use of a pesticide in a manner not specified on the label. Applications of pesticides for experimental research require an individual licensed as an Oregon pesticide applicator or licensed consultant with the research and demonstration category.
