Thursday, April 23, 2009 - Field Tour
Examine and Discuss Relevant Measures of the Social Values of Forests
 
8:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Anne G. Basker Auditorium: The Board will have a panel of speakers discussing useful measures for tracking the social values or contributions of forests.
 
11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Following the presentations, the Board iwll meet at Schroeder County Park in Grants Pass to plant a tree in honor of Arbor Week and Oregon's 150th birthday.  For the remainder of the day, the Board will tour local examples of recreation, education, and job opportunities illustrating the social value of forests.  Members of the public wishing to join the Board are asked to bring their lunch and provide their own transportation.
