Reehers Camp Information
Reehers Camp is located on Cochran Road 2.5 miles west of the community of Timber, Oregon. It is a rustic site, built on the location of the old Reehers Civilian Conservation Corps Camp and set above the Nehalem River within a forest of Douglas-fir, Cedar, alder, and maple trees.
 
Reehers Camp has two camp loops and a large day use trailhead. The upper loop has ten horse camp sites and the lower (B-loop) loop has 6 campsites for campers without horses. Each campsite has a picnic table and fireplace. Vault toilets, stock water and trash and recycling service are provided. A picnic shelter is available for day use activities on a first come first served basis.
The Reehers Camp Trailhead includes a large area for parking, a vault toilet, horse mounting assist ramp and four picnic sites. The Gales Creek Trail is accessed from the trailhead.
 
Reehers Camp is currently closed for the season. It will reopen in the spring of 2008.    
 
Campsites are first-come, first-serve; no reservations.
The fees for campsites are:
Campsite: $10.00/night
Extra Vehicle: $2.00/night
