If you enjoy exploring off the beaten path and leaving the crowds behind to discover many unique, beautiful natural features, then the Santiam State Forest is the place for you.
This state forest's active recreation program offers a system of non-motorized trails, small secluded campgrounds, and recreation areas throughout a diverse, actively-managed forest.
While you visit the forest, please keep in mind that it is a working forest with active timber management operations taking place. Drive responsibly on forest roads and be on the look-out at all times for log truck traffic and other visitors.
