 The Gales Creek Trail segment closed since 2007 will open to hiker and mountain bike use on May 25, 2012. 
 
This segment will open to horse use on July 8th  2012.

Wilson River Trail
Segment: Jones Creek Equestrian Trailhead to Kings Mountain Trail Junction
 CLOSED to Equestrians

07.08.2012
 This segment of the Wilson River Trail is open to horse use on a seasonal basis.
 
For horseback riders, this trail is an out-and-back ride only with the turnaround point at the Kings Mountain Trail Junction.
 
The only equestrian staging for this trail access is at the Jones Creek Equestrian Trailhead across from Jones Creek Campground.
