When preparing an estimate in Estimator, a project skeleton file can be imported as the initial step in creating an estimate. These files containing general project information and standard item categories to which items, quantities, and cost estimates can be added. Consultants need to email skeleton file request to Mike Lippsmeyer. ODOT staff accesses the respective region folder for skeleton files:
Data for producing estimates is stored in one or more catalogs that include item related code tables and historical item price data. The following catalogs are made available for use in the Estimator module. These files are only useful when downloaded and used in conjunction with Estimator. Current Catalog
Federally-funded projects require "Federal Aid" numbers.
Complete the Federal Aid Request Form to obtain a number for your project. Requests are generally completed within two working days.
