Motor Carrier Transportation Advisory Committee meets Aug. 16

The Motor Carrier Transportation Division Advisory Committee will meet 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Natural Resource Center, 3415 Commercial St. SE in Salem. The committee will hear updates on topics of interest, including:

 
  • Columbia River Crossing
  • “Fix it vs. Enhance it”
  • MAP-21 (“Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century” transportation reauthorization legislation)
  • ORS 366.215 (freight route capacity) rulemaking
  • Tolling policy
The committee is made up of representatives from the Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon State Police, the trucking industry and related industries. Motor Carrier Transportation Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public.
