Transportation Commission to meet Aug. 20 - 21 in Burns

The Oregon Transportation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting on Aug. 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the Harney County Community Center, 484 North Broadway, in Burns.
Items on the agenda include:
  • A discussion on policy direction for developing an OTC-selected project list to be funded through Enhance Funds (approximately $42 million);
  • A request to approve an amendment to the Oregon Highway Plan to be based on recommendations of the ODOT Freight Route Advisory Committee;
  • An informational report on a strategic plan to modernize the Driver and Motor Vehicle Services Division’s computer systems; and
  • Information about a request to amend the 2012 – 2015 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to add various construction projects. The projects would be funded through unallocated federal funds from Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century.
 
In addition to the regular monthly meeting, members of the OTC will hold a meeting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the same location. The agenda for this meeting includes a discussion with members of the South East Area Commission on Transportation, followed by an executive session. Executive sessions are closed to the public (ORS 192.660).
 
Meetings of the OTC are open to the public and time will be available to hear public comments. Accommodations will be provided to persons with disabilities, and alternate formats of printed material are available upon request.
