SALEM - The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety will meet at 4 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Division Office at 4040 Fairview Industrial Drive SE in Salem.
Agenda items include discussions about strategic planning, lane sharing and a potential online course as part of motorcycle training, among other items. The committee will also hold officer elections. In addition, the group will also hear reports from ODOT Transportation Safety Division and any motorcycle organizations present.
The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety is charged with the responsibility to advise the Governor and the ODOT’s Transportation Safety Division regarding motorcycle safety. The committee reviews, proposes, and makes recommendations concerning motorcycle-related legislation as well as serving as a public forum for motorcyclists and promoting motorcycle safety to the public.
