Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety to meet April 17 in Salem

The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at the Oregon Department of Transportation’s Transportation Safety Division Office at 4040 Fairview Industrial Drive SE in Salem.
 
Agenda items include continuation of a discussion about strategic planning, as well as a discussion about the 30th Anniversary of the TEAM Oregon motorcycle training program among other items. In addition, the committee will received reports from law enforcement agencies and any other motorcycle related organization present.
 
The Governor’s Advisory Committee on Motorcycle Safety is charged with the responsibility to advise the Governor and the ODOT’s Transportation Safety Division regarding motorcycle safety. The committee reviews, proposes, and makes recommendations concerning motorcycle-related legislation as well as serving as a public forum for motorcyclists and promoting motorcycle safety to the public.
